Show IjDCcOlff Little, Miss Sherie Mills is in Beaver, visting at the J. Dern Os-born Os-born home-Mr. home-Mr. and Mrs. C. M. W5ng returned re-turned home Sunday from a visit of several days upstate. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fisher (nee Gladys Martin) were here from Ogden for a visit over Memorial day. Mrs. Harold Cline was hostess last Friday night to a number of the wives of visiting' Masons and several local friends at dinner and bridge. Those enjoying the evening eve-ning were Mrs. Stewart Dobbs of Ogden, Mrs. Harold Linke of Arthur, Mrs. Harold Waldo and Mrs. O. C. Skaife of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Al Cline of Cedar City, and Mrs. Nina Burger, Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., and Mrs. George Jefferson of Milford. Town Marshal and Mrs. William Morris are enjoying a vacation visiwith relatives and friends on the coast. Water Supervisor Alton Smith is looking after police matters mat-ters while Bill is off duty. Mrs. Sam Cline entertained her bridge club last Thursday night. Those present were Mrs. David S. Williams, Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., Mrs. J. H. Weston, Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. Harold Cline and Mrs. Al Oline of Cedar City. The bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Kirk. Mrs. William Cochrane entertained enter-tained the Saturday Afternoon Bridge club June 6 with Mrs. Sam Cline winning the high points prize and Mrs. . Rudolph Nielsen the high honors prize, while Mrs. Fred Jefferson received the consolation con-solation prize. Others present were Mrs. Loran Bishop, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., Mrs. J. H. Weston and Mrs. Gene Kirk. Mrs. Ray H. Mills entertained Saturday afternoon at a birthday party in honor of the tenth birth anniversary of her daughter Mar-lene. Mar-lene. Dainty refreshments were served at a large table, the color scheme being and green. Those enjoying the afternoon were Barbara Bar-bara Fotheringham, Donna Muir, Betty Sue Hickman, Geraldine Stoker, Granetta Whitbeck, Florence Flor-ence Openshaw and Marlene. V Norma and Rueselt Gj-imshaw returned home Monday from Beaver, Bea-ver, where they enjoyed a delightful delight-ful five days visit at the S. G. Hickman home. Mrs. D. S. Williams was hostess to the Monday Night Bridge club and guests June 8. Those present were Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. M. H. Pool, Mrs. William Cochrane, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. D. A. Baxter and Mrs. William Ashworth. The prizes at bridge were won by Mrs. Pool, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Hughes. The Bridgadier club met last Frid'ay night at the home of Tanis Strofeld. Dainty refreshments were served by the hostess including includ-ing a birthday cake, complete with candles, honoring the birthday of Mrs. William Morris. Mrs. Morris Mor-ris received several pair of beautiful beau-tiful pillow cases. The members present were Mrs. Otto Steenbock, Mrs. J. P. Holm, Mrs. W. E. Martin, Mar-tin, Mrs. Vern Shingleton and Mrs. Morris, while the guests were Mrs. Tom Campbell and Mrs. Elmer Guye. The prizes were received re-ceived by Mrs. Shingleton, Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Steenbock. |
