Aftt-r curds, a luncheon was nerved, and a birthday cake presented pre-sented to Mrs. Holbrook by Mrs. Leech. SEWING CXL'B MEETS Mrs. Lillian Atkin was hotess to her sewing club on Wednesday night. A pleasant evening was spent sewing and talking. Those ' present were Mrs. Melba White, ! Mrs. Lucille White, Mrs. Mick Nichols, Mrs. Vella Edwards, Mrs. Fern McGinn, Mrs. Ella Edwards Guests were Mrs. Mildred Harris Mrs. Margaret Lymon and Neva Kinrose. DONNA JEAN JONES WED TO ROSS COTTKELL One of the season's most Interesting Inter-esting weddings was solemnized last Wednesday when Miss Donna j Jean Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jones, became the bride of Ross Cottrell, son of Mr and Mrs. Roy F. Cottrell. The vows were exchanged at the home of the Roy CottrelLs, where the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents were married 26 years ago. Bishop Ira Fisher read the ceremony. The charming bride wore a fucia sport suit with black accessories and a gardenia . corsage, with a gardenia halo in her hair. She was attended by her close friend, Miss Norma Mastros, who wore a blue dress with a white rose corsage. Bill Tribole served as best man. The four-tiered wedding cake made by Mrs. Cottrell and decorated decorat-ed by Mrs. Hazel Nelson, with pink roses and topped with a miniature bride and groom, was served with ice cream at an informal reception following the ceremony. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jones Mr. and Mrs. Roy F. Cottrell, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Cook, Mr. and Mrs Howard Cook, Mrs. Gertrude Cook and daughters, Alice and Ethel, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jones and son James, Mr. and Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tribole Bill Tribole, Mr. and Mrs. Oakley Nelson, Mrs. Dora Casterline, Mr Keith Stuck and Miss Norma Mastros. In the evening the happy new-lyweds new-lyweds left for a short wedding trip to Southern Utah and California Mr. Cottrell will return to Salt Lake City on March 16 for further assignment in the Naval forces He expects to be discharged later in the spring, after which he will attend a trade school. The bride will finish her senior year at the Milford High school. PAUL CRUM OBSERVES THIRTEENTH BIRTHDAY Paul Crum Jr. was honored at 3 birthday party last Thursday night at his home. The friends who attended at-tended were Gerald Stoker, Russell Rus-sell Grimshaw, Farrell Fothering-ham, Fothering-ham, Glenn Casterline. LaNea Lund. Paul's grandmother, of Rock Springs, Wyo., made the beautifully decorated cake and sent it to him. Games and cards were played during the evening. At 10 o'clock chili, "coke" and the birthday cake were served. MRS. ANDERSON ENTERTAINS Mrs. Ray, Anderson entertained her bridge club Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Those present were Mrs. Lois Brewer, Alberta Handley, Maudell Crane, Mabel Westergaard, Ar-mona Ar-mona Jones, Helen Bracker, Mrs Bracker winning first prize and Mrs. Handley, consolation. The luncheon followed the George Washington motif and was served at 12 o'clock. MUNCEYS ENTERTAIN A few close friends of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Muncey were entertained at the Muncey home last Tuesday evening. Present to enjoy cards, chatting and delicious refreshments were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hillman, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Evans, and Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson is a brother of Mrs. Evans, and they have been visiting the couple for the past week. RAILROAD LADIES HOLD INITIATION PARTT The Ladies' Society of the B. of L. F. & E. held their annual initiation initia-tion party on Friday, February 15. Invitations were issued to the B. of L. F. & E. here and in Caliente. The party commenced with a banquet being served at 8:30 p. ni., after which the ladies' drill team put on their official drill. Dancing filled the remainder of the evening,, eve-ning,, during which there was a prize waltz. The honor was won by Merrill Lund and Lucy Reese. The prize was a lovely, heart-shaped heart-shaped box of chocolates. Those on the committee were Ethel Smith, Vera Waite, Gladys Bird, Phyllis Erickson, Mary Nichols Nich-ols and Garnet Garfield.
