Show BEAVER MEETING CHARTS VET AIDS IN EMPLOYMENT Professor Cooley of the Branch Agricultural college at Cedar City and other well-informed speakers addressed a meeting of Beaver county business men last night in the Beaver county courthouse relative to employment of veterans of World War II. County Commission Commis-sion Chairman Joseph presided. The meeting was arranged to acquaint prospective employers with provisions of the G. I. Bill of Rights which permit payment by the Veterans Administration of subsistence allowances to veterans who are learning new trades, when taking "on-the-job" training. Under the amended bill, the Veterans Administration pays up to $90 a month, to supplement the apprentice wages paid by the employer em-ployer while the veteran is learning learn-ing a trade. Additional information informa-tion may be obtained from County Commissioner Joseph, or the United Unit-ed States Employment Service, at Beaver. Each Wednesday Mr. Farrer, Far-rer, of the Beaver USES office is in Milford to assist veterans ir problems connected with the employment em-ployment profrara. |
