Show MILFORD LIONS ENJOY TREK TO ST. GEORGE Ten Milford Lions and their ladies attended the banquet and dance at St, George last Saturday evening. It was a social evening staged for the Zone. I group of Lions clubs, including all of southern south-ern Utah. Making up the safari to the conclave were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wy-naught, Wy-naught, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Johnson, John-son, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tomsik Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Eldredge, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Evans and Irvin Dick-erson, Dick-erson, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hillman who spurned the highways and traveled by air. A meeting was held for the Lions at 7 o'clock, with the ladies joining join-ing them at 8:30 for a banquet and dance in the Woodard Junior High school building. A six-piece old-time orchestra played for the dance, featuring the schottische, square dance and waltzes. Before each number, the orchestra would indicate the next dance by printed poster. On Sunday morning Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tomsik left for Central Cen-tral City to visit friends and relatives, rela-tives, while the rest of the Milford group enjoyed the sights of Zion canyon. |
