Show DiDK0Bff Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Shannon and their two young daughters returned return-ed Sunday from a visit in Indiana, the doctor's home state, and other points in the middle west. They reported a most enjoyable trip. Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Whiting of Caliente are enjoying a visit of a day or so in Milford following their annual vacation, which was spent in Salt Lake and southern California. They are house guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Holm while in town. The Whitings had charge of the local Union Pacific lunch room for a couple of years and made a large number of friends while here. Mr. Whiting paid The News a pleasant call Thursday and renewed their subscription to the paper. The Ladies Auxiliary to the B. of R. T. celebrated their 11th birthday Friday evening, November Novem-ber 1, with a banquet and card party at the Union Pacific dining room. Nineteen members were present including the guest of honor, Mrs. Waldo Watts, a new member. Mrs. Alene Smith of the Salt Lake lodge was also a guest. At bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Stanley Voorhee for high points and Mrs. William Morris for high honors, while Mrs. Louis Mc-Fadden Mc-Fadden received the traveling prize and Mrs. Dutch Jensen the consolation prize. |
