Show Mr. George Jefferson and sons, Richard and Tommy, are in Salt Lake, visiting for a few weeks. Mrs. Harold Cline and baby returned re-turned home Tuesday night from a few weeks visit in southern California. Betty Jean Berry of Garfield is a jruest at the B. E. Miss Lillian McCulley entertained entertain-ed at a bridal shower tiiven for Miss Margaret Munford August 5 at the home of Mrs. George A. Litchfield. The evening was spent playing hearts. The Third Year 4-H girls had their girls' dinner Wednesday, August 18. Those present were Vera Jeffers, Yoshiko Imai, Kely Stewart, Elaine Baker, Jean Smith, Joan Hickman, and their leader, Mrs. Hickman. A good time was enjoyed by all. Mrs. S. G. Hickman was hostess to her bridge club Tuesday night at her home with Mrs. Thorald White winning first prize, Mrs. Kimmell Coon second prize and Mrs. A. C. Acheson third prize. Others present pre-sent were Mrs. B. T. Walker, Mrs. D. G. Morehead, Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw and Mrs. Lloyd Kohler. Mr. and Mrs. Raney H. Shannon of Williamsport, Indiana, left Wednesday morning for Salt Lake on their way homeward after an enjoyable visit with Mr. Shannon's brother, Dr. R. R. Shannon, and their mother. The former Mr. Shannon is an investigator for the federal land bank at Louisville. Kentucky. A bridal shower was given at the home of Mrs. George A. The evening was spent in play-in? bridere and five hundred., Mrs. Wayne Lyman received hia-h prize and Mrs. Dean received low prize in five hundred, while Mis. Milton Pool received the prize for points, Mrs. Vena Wilson for honora and Mrs. Steve Harris the' consolation award. The bride-to-be j received many useful and beautiful beauti-ful gifts.
