O FUa of the Milford 'News of J Fifteen years ago. this week Larry Lambert Lemon, nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Lemon, had passed away,, after an operation for ruptured appendix. At a regular noon luncheon meeting of the Milford Lions club, officers for the ensuing year had been elected. They were as follows: fol-lows: L. A. Wynaught, president; R. E. Ellingsworth, first vice president; presi-dent; Dr. Addison Bybee, second vice president; Harold Cline, secretary; secre-tary; R. C. Palmer, Lion tamer; Dr. C. It. Parrish, tail-twister. Directors for the year were I. Alt-man, Alt-man, George Jefferson and i. R. Murdock jr. Members of the club at the start of the new year in addition to those named above were Sam Cline, M. H. Pool, J. M. Kinney, Lloyd F. Kohler, Ed Peterson, Peter-son, 0. F. Ilubbell, Miles White, D. E. Kirk, Willard Nichols, T. A. Mills, Lamar Outzen, William Gor-den, Gor-den, E. C. McGarry and R. H. Barton. Bar-ton. Two of the best tournaments ever conducted by the Miford Tennis Ten-nis club had been concluded. Over 50 players had competed . for honors and Miss Mildred Killam became the woman champion by reason of five successive victories. In the men's singles, Homor Root had won his way to the top. Mrs. A. L. Webb had entertained entertain-ed at a party, the occasion 'being her son's twentieth birthday. Those present were Hannora Hutchins, Phyllis Levi, Kathrine McKeon, Dorothy 'Murdock,. Jayne iSloan, Ralph Tanner, Frank Carter, Alan Tanner, Ranee Connell, Howard Tanner, Harry Smurthwaitei and the guest of honor, Lawrence Webb. A baby boy was born June 29, 1930, to Mr. arid Mrs. Victor Myers of Minersville. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Beard were proud parents of a fine 'baby boy, 'born June 27.
