Show SCOUT LEADERS BANQUET GUESTS Senior Patrol Ix-ader Raymond Huston and Patrol Leaders David Coleman, Aquilla Robinson, De-in Johansen and Ray Baker of the various vari-ous patrols composing the Milford ; roop, Hoy Scouts of America, were honored f-ue'sts Monday evening at a banquet n'iven in the cozy Relief Society So-ciety room of the new L. D. S. chapel. Also included as guests of the evening were William B. Gardner, Gard-ner, member of the troop examining board and representative of Es-calante Es-calante Post No. 1540, Veterans of Foreign Wars, which is sponsoring the Milfoid lioy Scouts as one of the o;'s rc'ivities for the year; and E. H. Bird, bishop of the Milford L. D. S. ward and representative of the .istrict court of honor board. The affair was planned by Scoutmaster Scout-master J. B. Webster and Assistant Scoutmaster Owen W. Stoker, in co-i.peratk.n co-i.peratk.n with the troop committee commit-tee and Messrs. Webster and Stoker, Sto-ker, with Troop Committeemen L. G. Clay, Rudolph Nielsen, Roy Miller and David S. Williams were present, ihe wives of these seven men joining in preparing am', serving a tasty and well-appointed meal which was thoroughly thor-oughly enjoyed by those in attendance. attend-ance. Troop Committee Chairman Williams Wil-liams presided at the gathering and Scoutmaster Webster acted as master mas-ter of ceremonies for a short but inspiring in-spiring progam of talks on Scout laws ami principles given in developing develop-ing the theme of the Scout's and Scouter's hikes through life. Following the banquet an enjoyable enjoy-able hour was devoted to community singing and the playing of games, with the women folks joining wholeheartedly whole-heartedly in the fun. |
