Show Mrs. Otto Stecnbock returned' home Tuesday morning after scnd-j ing the week-end in Salt Lake with her husband. The American legion Auxiliary j gave another very successful public f card party at the O. R. Smith home Tuesday evening. Miss Ellen Ford of Salt Lake City j was a week-end visitor of Miss' Katherino Munford ami her many other friends here. Mrs. F Kuchenmeister entertained her Bridge club Tuesday evening at her home. Mrs. J. M. Williams received re-ceived high score prize and Mrs. Gene Kirk consolation prize. Mrs. William Morris and young daughter returned Friday night from a visit of some four weeks in southern sou-thern California. Her son, 'Claude, brought her home in his car, but returned the next day. commander of the Veterans of For-1 eign Wars, will be in attendance at! the state convention to be held in Salt Lake January 31, and it is hoped; that a good representation of local veterans will make it their purpose to attend the convention. j Mr. and Mrs. Gam Stevens and young son, now of Salt Lake but residents of Cedar City until recently, recent-ly, visited over the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. J. The two families established their mutual friendship several years ago when Mr. Hughes first came here to teach in the high school, Mr. Stevens being a grade school instructor at that time. F. A. Hobbs of Salt Lake, who -has been acting as operator at the local airways radio station, was fcjturned to Davis county Tuesday to answer to a contempt of court charge growing grow-ing out of a head-on auto smash-up smash-up which occurred November 30 near North Salt Lake. Deputy Sheriff Calvin G. Roberts of Davis councy j came down on No. 7 Monday for the purpose of chaperoning Hobbs back to Farmington to face the music. Heber T. Hank", proprietor of the Milford hotel, returned Sunday from a holiday, visit with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. K. G Link returned Sunday from a winter vacation trip which included visits in various parts of California' and in Salt Lake Peter Peterson and son, who have been ojierating the Independent Silver Sil-ver property in the Beaver Lake district dis-trict during the winter months, left Saturday for their home in St. Paul.
