Show Community Treat Planned For Kiddies i A beautifully decorated Christmas tree, a short but interesting program and an honest-to-goodness visit from old Santa Claus, laden down' with : candy and nuts for all under 12 years : of age, will be features of the public : Christmas eve fete to be staged Mon-, Mon-, day evening at the new L. D. S. j church building, where the chapel ' room will be merged with the recrea-j recrea-j tion hall into one large room in order to accomodate the expected crowd, j The event, given its inception by ; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, is being be-ing actively supported by virtually all the organizations of the' town, with contributions from them and from individuals and business houses, in addition to the $35 cleared at the J toy shop benefit dance, going to de-j de-j fray the necessary expense in providing provid-ing the candy and nuts and incident- als in the way of paint and small hardware used at the toy shop. J The following program will be given Christmas eve at the L .D. S. I chapel in connection with the' other activities: . . j Two selections by Milford high I school orchestra. 1 Prayer, Bishop E. H. Birjd. I Luther's Cradle Hymn, congregation. congrega-tion. I Violin trio, Margaret Moore, Hazel j Tribole and Thelma Thompson, i Piano solo, Doris Hughes. I Vocal trio, Kirk sisters. Piano solo, Marie Gillies. "Jingle Bells" by congregation as Santa Claus enters. Candy and nuts will be given to children up to and including eleven years of age, and every youngster, irrespective ir-respective of religious affiliation, is expected to be there. n |
