Show Civic Clubs To Meet j InSt.GeorgeJan.29 The next meeting of the Associated ; Civic clubs of Southern Utah will be; held at St. George, December 29 and 30, according to announcement by Ray E. Carr, acting secretary. The election of now officers for the organization is scheduled for 9 a.m. on the first day. Before this meeting at St. George the civic clubs of each county in the district are expected to hold a joint meeting and select a new director to I succeed the one whose term will expire ex-pire with the end of the year. Directors Di-rectors so chosen will serve for a period of two years. "In selecting these directors," Mr. Carr writes,"it is important that men be chosen who have a knowledge of civic affairs, who will give the necessary nec-essary time, ani who are in a position posi-tion to attend the meetings when they are called." Two years ago the organization did much to help secure favorable legislation legis-lation for Snow college and it is expected ex-pected a representative delegation will go from all fourteen counties for the St. George meeting.
