Show Local Lions Attend Dixie Charter Fete Continuing a long record of assisting assist-ing in welcoming into Lionism all the new clubs of southern Utah as they are chartered, Milford Lions and their wives last Saturday motored to St. George to be present at the presentation pre-sentation of its charter to the new club established in the Dixie metropolis. metro-polis. And, though the event was somewhat less colorful than others local Lions have attended, the Milford Mil-ford bunch maintained their reputation reputa-tion as a peppy and friendly group. At the same time, a Milford Lion, President O. C. Koch, became the center of attention at the gathering as the recipient of a Lions master key, awarded to him as one of only four Lions in the state to whom have been accorded the honor, and coming to him for securing 12 or more Lion memberships. Presentation of the master key to Lion Koch was made by Harold Cline, immediate past president of the Milford club. Among the more than 125 in attendance at-tendance at the affair were District ! Governor J. W. Thornton of Provo and delegations from as far north as j Lehi. Representing the Milford clubi were Lions Koch, Cline, R. C. Palmer, ( D. E. Stapley and L. A. Wynaught ! and their wives, Albert Cline of Ce- j dar City, a member-at-large of the Milford club, with his wife, and Mr. I and Mrs. K. G. Link of Milford. j |
