Show L. E. Chilton Given Military Interment Funeral services were held at the i M. E. church Saturday afternoon for Leonard E. Chilton, 50, who died the preceding Thursday at his home in Caliente, where he had returned recently re-cently following a period of treatment treat-ment in a Salt Lake hospital. The service was preached by the Reverend Rever-end Hall of Pioche and a military burial was given in the local cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of Escalante Post No. 41, Veterans of Foreign Wars, of which the deceased 'was a member. Leonard Elmer Chilton was born at Eminence, Missouri, January 24, :1884. He served his country in the j j World war and on May 1, 1922, was, married to Mae Johnson of Milford, j the marriage taking place in Salt! Lake. Of this union four children, ' were born, the widow and three kid- j I dies, Carol, Leonard and Denniis, sur- ' viving him. Another son, Buddy, died : j here three years ago and the lather ( i j was interred by his side. The family: J moved from Milford in 1932 the de- ceased being employed as conductor1; ' on the Pioche branch line until the time of his fatal illness. j' A mother and sister in Eminence; a j: : sister in St. Louis; and a brother, i Douglas, residing in Minnesota, also ; I survive. : o |
