Show PLAYGROUND, GARDEN CONTEST INFULL SWING The playground and garden congest con-gest being sponsored by the Milford American Legin Auxiliary and under the competent chairmanship of Mrs. E. T. Lyman, is swinging into the homestretch and going strong, according ac-cording to report, with 40 entries and all determined to place, though only three prizes are to be awarded one for the best playground, another an-other for the best vegetable garden and another for the best flower garden, this year's improvements over previous years to govern largely in making awards. The judges in the contest are Wil- liam Gardner, Merrill Edwards, Mrs. John Hanlon, Mrs. J. R. Murdock sr., and Mrs. William Cochrane. Judging Judg-ing will be done between July 31 and August 3 and the awards will be announced August 4, which day will be made a big children's day event. |
