Show WARD PLANNING FOR PIONEER DAY Milfords 1933 celebration of Utah Pioneer day, July 24, will be made doubly notable by the fact that on that day they will take place the formal opening of the new L. D. S. chapel and recreation hall, an event which has been looked forward to by virtually everyone in the community. The day will be featured by an e-laborate e-laborate parade in which all business houses, civic and other organizations will take part, also a program on which considerable attention is being centered in order to make it an outstanding out-standing one among several very fine local celebrations of Pioneer day. The afternoon will be devoted to a baseball game, horse racing, rodeo events and swimming contests e-nough e-nough to crowd the afternoon chuck-full chuck-full of good clean sport, while the evening eve-ning will be featured by the big opening open-ing dance. It is planned to do some intensive advertising of the big day with the idea of making Milford the celebration celebra-tion center for the occasion and more details will be given next week. |
