The Social Hour club held a no-hostess no-hostess session last Thursday afternoon after-noon at the club house. Illness had kept many members from attending. Earnest discussion of present day problems confronting farmers' wives filled the hour of the short session. Meetings will be postponed until further notice on account of sickness. Miss Gladys Go.-.pill has been quite ill for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. W. Kendall Cates of Sacramento, California, spent the week-end at Lorna Vista Rancho with Mr. Cates' parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Cates. Mr. Cates is connected with the Westinghouse company and made the trip, by motor, finding the roads over the entire route in splendid condition. con-dition. He will meet several business appointments with mine owners on his return and will not reach Sacramento Sacra-mento until Thursday night. Chickenpox is still -depleting the ranks of our school children but fortunately the disease is in a mild form. The storm on Saturday cancelled attendance for the Community club. The meeting has been postponed until a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Barney White, (nee Maud Meyers) welcomed a baby daughter on Saturday morning. They are at the Demonstration farm with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Meyers. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Fisher went to Minersville on Wednesday to attend at-tend the funeral of their niece. Hetty Goodwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Goodwin. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McKnight were at the reunion of the Eyre family in Minersville last Thursday. o |
