Show FARM NEWS NOTES BY LEW MAR PRICE j County Agent Association To Receive Thanksgiving Turkeys The Northwestern Turkey Growers' j association . is scheduled to receive j Thanksgiving turkeys at the Mur- j dock Feed store in Beaver on No- j vember 17, this year They prefer! that the birds be delivered before : noon if possible so the packing can ! be done as rapidly as possible in the ! afternoon. The association reported that oi few birds were listed from Milford that no day has been set for receiv- j ing at that place, but they will re-j ceive at the Herbert Hall ranch, westi of Minersville, on November 18. All Minersville and Milford birds will be j received at that place. There is still time to give the un- j finished birds a pound or two of; weight and resulting finish by force! feeding. Extension Service Plans Courses Forj Utah Farmers i A ten-day training course for farm leaders from the various counties of j the state is the latest plan of the extension ex-tension service of the Utah State j Agricultural college, Director Wil-! liam Peterson has announced. I The dates set for this short course; includes the period from December 5j to 15, at a time when the farm work! is slack.
