Show SOUTH MILFORD Mrs. Kate Heslington has been very ill during the past ten days. Many acres are being planted in peas this week as the San Diego Produce Pro-duce company has contracted plots ranging from 10 to 15 acres from almost al-most every farmer on the Flat. Mrs. W. W. Mitchell (nee Beth ,Rollins) of Salt Lake is here to spend a month visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Rollins. The Social Hour club met at the ,club house last Thursday afternoon. Distribution of the rose trees ordered by the club and discussion on planting plant-ing and care of roses featured the meeting. At the close of the session the ladies were seated at one long table centered with graceful boquotsj of columbine and delphinium from the hostesses gardens.. Tea, cake and candies were served as refreshments by the ho.-t-s.-es, Mrs. F. W. Gospill and Miss Gladys Gospill. The club will meet again Thursday, June 21. The ground for the F. E. R. A. gardens is being prepared on the land i directly west of the Maelstrom ranch. The Second Year Food club in 4-H work was organized at the club house last Sunday afternoon under the leadership of Burnella Jones. Officers Of-ficers were elected as follows: President, Presi-dent, Ruth Jones; vice-president, June Golden; secretary-treasurer, Virginia Rollins; song leader, Edna Fillmore, and reporter, Zo Rollins. The girls will meet on every Friday ' afternoon at the club house and invite in-vite all girls to become members. o |
