Show GUILTY IS PLEA OF PAIR CHARGED WITH ROBBERY OF CLAY GARAGE WHEN BROUGHT BEFORE JUSTICE NICHOLS FOR HEARING Edward Tomer and Harold Guymon, charged with the robbery rob-bery of the Milford Garage, pleaded guilty and waived preliminary hearing at their arraignment before justice Herbert Nichols here Tuesday afternoon. They were bound over to district court and as they were unable un-able to furnish bond which was set at $2300 apiece, they were taken over to Beaver by Sheriff Jensen where they will be held in the county jail to await hearing before district court. According to the complaint filed' against )hem, Tomjer and Guymon robbed the Milford Garage of thirty dollars Sunday evening. They had come to town on a freight early Sunday Sun-day morning and asking warmth and shelter, had been given a room at the Atkin hotel. They had been fed at the city's expense and had spent the remainder re-mainder of the day in the office of the Milford garage. About seven o'clock when William Williams, employee of the garage, was alone with them, they drew a gun on him and demanded the money in the cash register. After Williams had given them! the money, about thirty dollars, they locked him in the garage and made their escape. Williams got out of the garage and back to the office where he reported the robbery to City Marshall, Roy Coleman, by telephone. Coleman sent out a discription of the men to the agents along the Union Pacific line and received word early Monday morning that men answering their description were at Thermo.. Accompanied by Deputy Theodore Cronholm and L. G. Clay, Coleman drove out to Thermo and took them into custody. They were identified by Clay as the men who had loitered around his garage during the afternoon. after-noon. They were returned here where a complaint of robbery was sworn out against them. i They will probably have their hear-in hear-in in March when district court again convenes. |
