Show RACERS HURT Richfield While trying out a specially built ford speedster in preparation prep-aration for the auto races to be held the last day of the race meet and rodeo scheduled here for September 3, 4 and 5, J. H. Roberson and Jess Madsen of the Robinson Auto company comp-any of Elsinore suffered painful but not serious injuries at the race track in Richfield Wednesday. Mr. Roberson suffered two broken and one cracked rib, besides a deep cut on his leg and a severe bruise between be-tween his shoulders. Madsen was cut quite badly, requiring seven stitches, and both men are confined to their homes for a few days. The car failed to negotiate a turn on the second lap, plunged into the ditch and somersaulted. somer-saulted. .Witnesses estimate that the car was making about 60 miles per hour. Reaper. |
