Show MOTHER -DAUGHTERS PICNIC SUCCESSFUL Of the 550 mothers and daughters i gathered from over the cfounty to j attend th Bedvev ?iake, mother.i and ; d-ivghters oua.i-- at Hanging Rock i Wednesday afternoon, sixty-two were , from Milford. A picnic lunch, a program made up of talent from the various wards of ; the stake, dancing and community singing formed the entertainment for the day. Milford's portion of the program consisted in: A trio made up of Max-ine, Max-ine, Elaine and Katherine Kirk. Duet: Rosabelle Jones and Luella Bird. Piano Solo: Ranee Fernley. Tap dance: Helen Kinney and Luella Bird. A banner with the 1931-32 slogan was presented by the stak board ta the ward having the largest percent per-cent of its mothers and daughters present. The Minersville ward won with an attendance of 180. A prize was awarded t o Mrs. Hattie Myers of Minersville for having hav-ing the most daughtrs present. She had seven daughters with her. Other prizes were given to eight mothers of the Beaver West Ward for winning in dancing and quadrille, to the Minersville mothers for winning winn-ing in dancing the Scottish anrl to Josephine White of the Beaver East ward for the best dance from the daughters. |
