Show HIGH SCHOOL Pen Efforts Each week this column will carry' several specimens of the work of the Milford High School literary club.1 The stories, poems , essays and compositions compo-sitions here printed are literary efforts ef-forts of high ' school students and should be judged from the standard. SAYINGS OF OL'R TEACHERS Wanda Garrett we admire Though she teaches resolutely But there is one thing we desire That she wouldn't say "absolutely." Now we like Mr. Farnsworth And we like to hear him preach But we wish the poor soul wouldn't spend So much time stressing speech. I Miss Bunnell we all know Is the best in all the west If she didn't say "Pull in your stomach," And please throw out your chest. Then there's Mr. Heslington The coach we all adore But he says the team is better Than it was the year before. After each assembly Andrews gazes on the masses And says the speech that we all know ; know "To you second period classes." Ellen Ford |
