LOCAL WOMEN COME TO AID OF STRANGER .FACED WITH SORROW It has been brought to the notice of the News from sources outside the organizations that the local Masons and Eastern Star comforted and aided in every way a bereaved daughter who was confronted suddenly with the death of her mother-in-law on the train near Milford, last Saturday afternoon. af-ternoon. Mrs. 'Rita Homes of Montana was accompanying her convalescing mother moth-er in-law, Mi's. H. G. Homes from Grass Range, Montana to Pasedena, California, when the latter was stricken strick-en Saturday near Milford and died before be-fore the train on which they were traveling reached Nada. Returning: to Milford, Mrs. Rita Homos went to the Atkin Hotel where the Eastern Star learned of her misfortune mis-fortune and took over arrangements and notified the two daughters of the deceased in Pasadena. The daughters arrived Sunday morning and left for Pasadena Sunday Sun-day night. Interment will be in Pasadena. Pasa-dena. Mrs. Honcs was 76 years old, a native na-tive of Montana, a widow and survived surviv-ed by two daughters and her daughter in-la,v, Mrs. Rita Homes.
