Show SENIORS PLAN FESTIVE WEEK BEFORE GRADUATION NIGHT There are possibly a few busy adults in Milford but their busyness is merely the futile fussing of senility compared to the excitement, bustle and intense busyness of eighteen Milford High School seniors wTio are preparing for the great event, the consu-mation consu-mation for which they have put in four years of study and thousands thous-ands of hours of tedious confinement in class room and laboratory, graduation. .... On May seventh they will receive their diplomas on the stage of the high school auditorium before a crowd of delighted parents and friends. That will be the grand finale to a week of excitement and work. During that week they will participate in a school play, attend an alumni banquet, produce pro-duce a senior play, participate in the county baccalaureate ceremonies and with the aid of the lower classmer. will publish an eight page school pa-pr pa-pr that will be distributed on the day cf graduation. The senior play to be presented in the high school auditorium on Tuesday, Tues-day, May 5, is directed by Melba Hodges Hod-ges under the supervision of J. M. Hughes, class advisor. It is "Helen Preferred" by Watkins E. Wright, a lively three act comedy that will give the graduates an opportunity oppor-tunity of displaying amply their talents. tal-ents. Ferrin Frazer, Bryant Roberts, Helen Bird, Mary Banks, Louiena Patterson, Pat-terson, Arthene Howard, Helen Carlson, Carl-son, Melvin Bowman, Beth Coleman and Romain Draper make up the cast who will enact the amusing roles provided pro-vided by the play. The seniors are inviting in-viting the public to the performance which is being presented free. The following night baccalaureate ceremonies for the entire county will be held at the local high school. Then on Thursday evening at eight o'clock the graduation ceremony will be held. It will open with an orchestra orches-tra selection played by the high school orchestra followed by the entrance of the graduates. Ferrin Frazier will give the invocation and J. M. Hughes will sing a vocal solo. Bryant Roberts Ro-berts ' will give the salutory, Helen Carlson will play a piano solo and Lawrence Easton will give the valdic-tory. valdic-tory. Principal M. J. Andrews will present the graduates, Parley Fisher will distribute the diplomas, John C. Carlisle will present the Barton Medals, Med-als, J. M. Hughes the pins, Jayne Sloan will sing a solo and the program pro-gram will close with a benediction by Romaine Draper. The seniors have adopted for their motta "As we climb the horizon widens." Their flower is the Talisman Talis-man Rose, their colors, purple and gold. Graduates are: Mary Banks, Helen Bird, Marion R. Bowman, Melvin G.
