Show UTAH BABY INDUSTRY FORMED BY ASSOCIATION Negotiations have been completed to establish a huge frozen egg industry in-dustry in Salt Lake, providing a direct di-rect outlet for upwards of 2,000,000 pounds of Utah egg meat annually, it was reported recently by Clyde C. Edmonds, general manager of the Utah Poultry Producers Cooperative Asociation, upon his return from a conference on the Pacific coast. A portion of the poultry association's associa-tion's plant in Salt Lake will be equipped with the necessary machinery ma-chinery immediately so that operations opera-tions can begin soon after January 1, 1932. About 25 people will be afforded permanent employment. The new industry will make Salt Lake the frozen-egg distribution center for the northwest and inter-mountain inter-mountain territories, according to the plans, which also call for the exclusive use of eggs produced in Utah. Tin-can containers and other materials used in packing the frozen eggs will be purchased here, giving the state the entire advantage o the new industry, Mr. Edmonds promis-ed. |
