The picture was produced by the Metropolitan Sound Studios of Hollywood, California. "The world's largest automobile," a Kijf.'intic replica of the new President Ki;rht four-season free wheeling road-chestra. road-chestra. This (riant car has 15-12 chostra. Tnis (riant car has 15-1,2 times the capacity of the normal car. Tt was built to commemorate the second se-cond anniversary of the world-famous .'iO,000-mile run of four stock President Presi-dent Eights at Atlantic City in 1928. "Wild Flowers" was directed by Alf Goulding, whose personal triumphs include pictures in which such stars as Belie Daniels, Harold Lloyd, Lloyd Hamilton and others have attained honors. Sound effects were under the supervision of William Snyder, considered con-sidered one of tho best men in the business. His most recent sound success suc-cess is "Hell's Anjrcls" which critics have hailed as a stellar production. Though primarily a musical production, produc-tion, "Wild Flowers" contains a cleverly clev-erly woven plot of young love. The picture opens with a boy and girl riding rid-ing in a new free wheeling President Eight roadster. Spying a nearby field of wild flowers, the girl requests her companion to stop while she gathers gath-ers a bouquet. While waiting for the girl, the boy turns on the radio in his car and falls asleep. His dream of a monstrous automobile, duplicate of his own roadster, road-ster, with its load of peppy musicians who regale him with popular musical numbers and snappy novelty acts, forms the main theme of the film. The huge roadster Which appears in the picture was constructed in Stude-baker's Stude-baker's engineering laboratories in South Bend, Ind., and took 60 men three months to build. It is 41 feet long, with a wheelhase of 325 inches; I FIR, Mfr T I Speedy j Service No flatter the size of your i job, whether it is a tire to be 5 changed or your gas tank fill-f fill-f ed we do it with a will and vi- gor. The big dimensions of the car are best reflected by the fact that in the sound picture no less than 22 members mem-bers of the "Studebaker Champions" were accomodated in the driving seat, yet there was ample room for eight or ten additional people. The giant car is now situated on a high knoll at the Studebaker Proving Ground overlooking U. S. Highway No. 20, where thousands of passing motorists view and marvel at its tremendous tre-mendous proportions. To accommodate accommo-date 'spectators, Studebaker has provided pro-vided a parking lot on the Proving Ground property adjacent to the exhibit. ex-hibit. Pd. Adv. o I Try a want ad.
