Show WARM SPRINGS WILL BE SUMMER RESORT The warm springs one mile east of Minersville are being developed into a pleasure resort for the coming season. sea-son. Work started last week by the new owners, Roy and Albert Smith of Beaver, who recently purchased j the springs and thirteen acres ofj land surrounding them. Plans have been made by the j Smith brothers to construct a swimming swim-ming pool, 40x80 feet in dimension, bath houses, an open-air dance pavilion, pa-vilion, 50x100 feet, and other accommodations ac-commodations for this pleasure resort. re-sort. The excavation for the pool Is nearly completed and the concrete work will start at once. Work is being be-ing pushed as fast as possible with the hope of being able to open the new resort to the public on Memorial Day. These warm springs have been one of Beaver county's undeveloped assets. A company was organized several years ago, and the springs! and land purchased from Chas. Har-j ris. However, the plans were never! carried through, and the holdings otj the company were recently purchas-i ed by the Smith brothers. j The temperture of the water from j these springs, it is claimed, is ideal for swimming, and the new resort will no doubt become a popular pleasure center during the summer months. |
