Show SHIP IN JERSEYS FROM UTAH COUNTY HOLSTEINS FOUND HARD TO PURCHASE Another shipment of dairy cattle came into Beaver county last week, when County Agent Lew Mar Price was responsible for getting two truck loads shipped down from Utah county. The cattle were Jerseys. Mr. Price says that the farmers for whom the cows were purchased wanted Holsteins, but that he was unable un-able to get them. High prices prevail pre-vail on Holstein cows, as much as one hundred and fifty dollars per individual. in-dividual. The cows he shipped in cost one hundred and twenty-five dollars. Mr. Price says that the Jerseys brought here are the same quality type of dairy cow as the Holsteins, and give as much butterfat per year, but cost from twenty-five to thirty dollars less per eow. |
