Show GET THIS FIVE DOLLARS Want to win five dollars? . Here's how! Name a song , which is appropriate in name ' and descriptive in words of Mil- ford. M. S. Sullen, who is director of the Union Pacific band of Los- Angeles, is gathering ap- propriate songs, parts of which may be woven into a medley. . The parts of this medley are ! each descriptive of some important impor-tant town on the Union Pacific system. The entire piece when completed will form a selection called the "Gold Coast Limited" and which will be dedicated to the president of the Union Pacific Pa-cific system, Carl M. Gray. The selections are all chosen, except for Milford and Lynndyl. Examples of the songs are "The Prisoner's Song," Rawlins, Wyo; Mormon Hymm," Salt Lake City; "The Desert Song," Las Vegas; "California, Here I Come," Los Angeles. B. M. Prescott, Traveling Agent for the Union Pacific, offers of-fers a prize of five dollars for the naming of the Milford song. An example for an appropriate name is "Blue Skies." The names must be submitted to the News office not later than Friday Fri-day evening, July 13. The editor edi-tor is taking the liberty of naming nam-ing the following as a committee to pick the best one: M. P. Lewis Dr. C. R. Parrish and 0. F. Hubbell. All it requires js a bright idea, and the five dollars is yours. |
