Show MT. EMMONS ' Guy Bracken of Roosevelt was a week end visitor. Mr. Raymond Ellis is now the proud father of a fine new baby boy. Lar3 Marsin Is buying a piano of TIcnderson-Eartlett Music house. He went after it tht other day. Bishop Oscar Wllkens of Mountain Home Btorid over on his way from Roosevelt la;,L Saturday night. Frank Westhrook Is back with us aain. He 1b glad to be here having seen discouraging crop conditions pre viilfng in the various districts which lie visited while out. The grain crop and alfalfa yield promises bo far to become all that can be expected of It at this place. The government irrigation system is proving efficient in supplying the farms here with that which they most need. All Indian allotments of this district dis-trict were sold at the land sale. Town lots were sold to Nathaniel Mitchel of Lake Fork, James Evans, Mrs. Knight of Ioka and Wilford Winkler last week. Shirley Daniels Is back with us again after a brief visit in Vernal. Curtis W. Caldwell and family have returned from Vernal where they went on account of the Illness of their daughter, Mrs. George Fisher. Joseph Babcock has commenced the construction of a residence on his town lots. Mr. Mitchell has hauled the foundation foun-dation rock onto his lots for a home. We are glad to report the recovery recov-ery of Mr. Ross Musser from a very serous illness. The big opening mutual dance of Friday last was attended by mem bers of all the surroundng commu-nites. commu-nites. A most enjoyable time was had by all present. Refreshments were served, games were played and a brief program was rendered. Exceptionally Ex-ceptionally pleasing was the solo rendered, by Miss Alice Smith, Mist Mable Pearson accompanied her at the piano. |
