Show ODD JOBS What we generally term "odd jobs" in reality look tremendously tre-mendously big to most of us particularly if we happen to be the man of the house. They constitute cleaning yards and cellars cel-lars and uttics, and no man is ever ready, he thinks, for work of this nature. But there are a few men around Delta who need employment, and who would be glad of an opportunity to earn a little money doing these "odd jobs". Possibly you have nothing noth-ing in the way of work that will keep a man employed regularly. But we do believe that iff all the folks who have "odd jobs" around the house would respond promptly it would be sufficient to tide a number of fellows over until they can catch onto something some-thing permanent. We are fortunate in not having much idleness in this community, and the unemployed problem is not hitting us the blow it is the large cities. But so long as we have one un-tmployed un-tmployed men and there is one "odd job" that should be looked after, things are not what they ought to be. Put the man to work tomorrow on that "odd job." |
