Show SCIPIO NEWS Mrs. S. A. Miller, who spends most of her- time in Sale Lake City now, spent several days here with her children, chil-dren, Mrs. Barbara Peterson and Henry Miller. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Peterson spent Sunday in Delta. Born on Nov. 3rd to Mr. and Mrs. Mi-lo Mi-lo Dyches, a son; and to Mr. and Mrs. D. Maine (nee Belle Adams) a baby girl. The Citizens' Ticket won in last Tuesday's election, with Ernest Brown, Mayor; Waldo Robins, Con. Robins. Wm. Walch, and Reo Mem-, mott, councilmen. The Ellison-White Chautauqua held. here Nov. 5th to Nov. 10th was ! a great success and has been signed up for next year. The Armistice Day Celebration on Friday evening was well attended and a good time had by all. Bert Johnson and family of Delta came over on Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mrs. C. Nielson. Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Nielson, widow of the late Hans Nielson, Niel-son, who died in Nephi on Monday, were held from the ward meeting house on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Nielson had been in failig health, for some time and had gone to Nephi for medical aid. She was fifty-five years of age, and is survived by her two sons and three daughters. The sons are Oscar and Daniel of Scipio, and the daughters are Mrs. Chris Nielson of Hackay, Idaho, Mrs. Dora Chase, of Nephi, and Iona, who is attending the Nephi High School. Iona's class and teacher, Professor Glazier, attended at-tended the services in a body. The floral tributes were very beautiful. The speakers were Orsen Wasden, Ernest Brown and Bishop Robins of Scipio and Professor Glazier of Nephi. Ne-phi. Each .testified to the exemplary life and 'character of the deceased. Interment was in the city cemetery. cem-etery. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis went up to the city last week. Attorney O. P. Soule of Salt Lake City was a Delta visitor this week. Geo. K.' Thompson, brother to Chas. Thompson, is in Delta looking after the business of the firm. J. A. Capener, Federal Land Bank appraiser, is in Delta and vicinity a week, making investigations of land, preparatory to passing upon applications applica-tions of borrowers.
