Show SUGARVILLE SIFTINGS Miss Hazel Bradey is visiting with her brother at Wiifter Quarters, Ut. James Shields returned from a business trip to Tooele, Utah, last Kriday. Weller Emrick stopped off on his way to Conrad, Montana, to visit with his son for a few days. He comes from Calexio, Calif., where, he says, it is sure hot right now. Alfalfa is ready to cut and the barley is headed out. He claims that we are a great ileal better off up here than the people peo-ple in California, where hundreds of men are out of employment and the farmers are not able to sell the cotton cot-ton that was raised last year, so the banks are not in a position to finance the farmers this year. C. G. Hoyt and Frank Heise are employed again as watermasters for this coming season. We are glad to see them back on the job, as none can handle the water better than they, nor give better satisfaction to the public. Mrs. James Shields was called to Idaho to be with her brother, who is seriously ill. J. O. Emrick had the misfortune to lose a very valuable horse last week. The sickness was due to feeding feed-ing alfalfa chaff. The veterinary cautions every one to be very careful in feeding chaff; it is giving a great deal of trouble, and a well developed de-veloped case of impaction is a very serious thing. |
