Show SOUTH TRACT NEWS. ? The South Tract Social Club en- ' tertalned Saturday evening with a social at the Club hall. The Boclal was under the supervision of Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Carbett. 1 Mrs. Carbett and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fidel. i The evening was spent in dancing with several vaudeville numbers in i between by the Misses Ethel Daven- i port, Hilda Davenport, Mildred Baker Ba-ker and C. E. Harwood. Refreshments were served consist ing of sandwiches, chicken aaiad and coffee. ; The recent storm stopped threshing thresh-ing on the place of J. M. Dodds and J. P. Fidel, all of the other Tract farmers being threshed except ex-cept J. W. Marney, Ed. Brush and J. M. Van Winkle. The following : are some of the ylefds of alfalfa Beed on the Traot: Lowell Nelson, 425 bushels on about 65 acres; Geo. , Peak ,130 bu. on 28 acres; Fred Hauman, 475 bu. on 65 arres; Geo. , Beech, 400 bu. on 6,0 acres, Henry Pearson, 250 bu. on 55 acres; B. W. Whltmore, 140 bu. on 25 acreB; Fred Baker, 400 bu. on 65 acres; James Kenelly, 160 bu. on 25 acres; Fruuk Lanham, 65 bu- on 15 acres; Wheeler Bins, 250 bu, on 40 acres; F. B. Johnson, 250 bu. on 35 acres; H. E. Beck, 120 bu. on 25 acres; H. A. Bott, 100 bu. on 8 acres and Frank Anderson 280 bu. on 27 acres The writer believes that the average yield per acre on the Tract is above that of any other whole dlBtrlct in Millard County. |
