Show OCCURRENCES AT OAK CITY W. R. Walker, Chronicle Representa-tlvt. Representa-tlvt. The twelfth annual commencement exercises of the Millard County public schools were held here last week In the tiyru. Friday morning a most Interesting program was carried out. Everybody took their parts well and deserve great credit for the showing thejr made. Prof. L. F. MeGhle of the II. of I', spoke to the graduates and gave them Homo very good advice. At 5 o'clock a banquet was served the graduates and teachers. It was an enjoyable occasion, the feast being Interspersed with toasts, songs, etc. The event closed with a big dance at night. The hall was very crowded, but nevertheless neverthe-less the dance was an enjoyable one. People are coming from all over the country to attend the (iolden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas II. Talbot. A big time Is expected. Columbus lhitson returned from Salt Lake City Sunday and brought buck with lit in a wife. Frank Kimball and W. F. Sheffel of Salt Lake passed through Oak City with a party of eastern men who were looking over the land south of town. Wm. J. Fliillnson of Iamlngton , was visiting with friends and relatives Urn past week. He gave us a very able address In our Sunday afternoon meeting. John K. Lovell is expecting ex-Gov. II. M. Wells and Ir. Condon to spend a day fishing the coming week. Many of the farmers are expecting to begin haying this week. |
