Show it number of new buildings K up In our little town built of brick from our kiln. GLEANINGS FROM KANOSH Our New Correspondent Sends in an Interesting Bunch of News. Miss Overa Haltey, Chronicle Representative. The wind has not forgotten how to blow. It gives us a day of wind quite often. We see the face of one of our Btu-dents Btu-dents from the M unlock Academy, Mr. Ira Hopkins. We are always glad to have our students come home for the summer. Mr. Miles Keay, his wife and youngest young-est daughter, Miss Florence, are here from Thatcher, Arizona, visiting friends and relatives. Mr. Keay and family were residents of Kanosh some 27 year ago. They left here and went to Arizona where they have lived since. He made a visit back to this place about seven years after he leti; this Is his second visit here In 27 years. All who know him and his wife are glad to see them. We all give them a hearty welcome and hope they will remain with us for some time. Mr. Frank Slaughter came over last Monday from Hinckley to get his wife. They left here Wednesday to attend the wedding of Mr. Slaughter's daughter, daugh-ter, Fffle. Mr. Dan Rogers Is having his house painted outside and inside. The men engaged in this work are Mr. Loveless and Glbbs Robinson from Hinckley. After they complete their work at Rogers they will paint Mr. John A. Watt's house, which was built last summer. The farmers are cutting their alfalfa, alfal-fa, which was blighted. They think perhaps It will help to get a good second sec-ond crop. Mr. Leslie George has been at, the -ounty seat op birslnesttthls week. Miss isabelle Whatcott, Wlnford Paston, William and Chester Cheel, have gone to Salt Lake City to attend summer school. The young folks who went to commencement com-mencement at Oak City have re-turned re-turned home. All report having a very good time; this Is always the report re-port from people who visit Oak City. Some of our girls and boys had such a time while there that they never got to bed at all Friday night. We aee Mr. Ishmel Iteay of Meadow here quite often. There seems to be something very attractive down at Mrs. II. J. Hopkins. Miss Prlcllla George who has been a visitor In KanoBh for some time, left lsat week for her home In Sevier. Sister Nora Staples from Ellsnore and her daughter from Arizona, are here visiting friends and relatives. Brother John Black one of our old residents, but now one of Beaver, is hetr for a few days visit.
