Show Holden Happenings The matrimonial fever seems to be very contagious at present, as another highly esteemed couple of our young people,' Austin Johnson and Zenobia Turner, were married ! in the Manti Temple last Wednesday. A shower was given them at 'the bride's home, Jan. 14, with a large crowdln attendance. Many useful and beautiful presents were presented them as a token of friendship, and all join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Johnson a long and happy life. Thursday, Jan. 20, about 40 gunners, packers and wagon nWrom Scipio met that number num-ber of our town men north of Holden and engaged in a friendly friend-ly rabbit hunt. Over 1,000 rabbits rab-bits were killed. Our local men winning the victory by a few rabbits. That night the hunters and others enjoyed a free dance in the social hall. The Scipio men were loyal to their ladle.- and made it possible fur a large number to come over and take part in the dance. A very pleasant pleas-ant and sociablo time was had by all. They also remained for the dan:e the following evening-given evening-given for the benefit of playground play-ground apparatus for the school children. The hall was again crowded with people from Scipio, Holden, Fillmore and Meadow. The lloldc-n men intend in-tend returning the favor by going to Scipio Friday to help them get rid of the bunnies. Come again Scipio we like your congenial spirit and you will be welcome any time. Stake Priesthood meeting was held here Saturday with a good attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Johnson of Delta, and Carl Wasden of Scipio, were guests of Mrs. Sarah Johnson last week. Carl Nixon and Nettie Johnson are improving from a severe at-tact at-tact of pneumonia. Mrs. Chloe Johnson is under Dr. Steven's care for Brights disease. The S. 0. D. H. Girls met at Erma Turner's home last Tuesday Tues-day and spent a very pleasant ; evening.
