It is altogether probable that we could till the reservoir In 90 days and POSSIBLY 60 days, but as to this much depends upon the snowfall an$ water shed run off. We feel confident that with these facts before the settlers set-tlers they will all appreciate the fact that tho building of the concrete core Is for their protection, In other word the putting lit of this core will be donn with the thought of "making saf doubly secure," while the further pro tectlon of the capital we have Invested is also a factor. From this you will understand that we are Dot at all apprehensive ap-prehensive as to the safety of the dam as now constructed, but as there is no telling how noon wo may wish to fill the reservoir to Its capacity and knowing know-ing that All concerned would feel wore comfortable about the dam with a concrete con-crete core down to bedrock when the reservoir Is filled to Its capacity, we feel the sooner we put It In the better, bet-ter, hence our conclusion to atart the work Sept. 1st. We will thank you to see that this' word Is given out to the settlers generally, gen-erally, while a copy goes to the Mil lard County Chronicle for publication, also copies to Meld Engineer Cottreli and North Tract Water Master A. A. ACkerman and South Tract Water Master L. A. Chrlstensen with request to also pass the word around in all dl-rectlons. dl-rectlons. Commencing with next year our purpose pur-pose Is to eacourago the fall planting or grain strongly with all the settlers and we should do so this fall were It not for the measure of uncertainty about the natural stream flow of Seller Se-ller river and the consequent water supply during the month of September, Septem-ber, We trust, however, that the settlers set-tlers generally will assent readily to the arrangement for this year when g.- " : ' ) ! r' ' ' ! 1 i i .rs Z - v i - ofr:LK v - J; ifc " rma,.,x.ff.:'i Win.
