Show IN AND AROUND DELTA Hi Week's News from the Comiaj Metropolis Mr. Douglas Llsonbee went to Sevier Se-vier County this last week to work. The Presbyterian Church people under the direction of Mr. Rutt have finished up the extenrior work on their church, and It now looks very respectable and nice, with the door In the center of the building, and the windows on the aide. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Wallace left Sunday night for Garlleld County 'or a fishing and outing trip, and to visit Mr. Wallace's sisters who live there. On account of there not being enough of the stockholders represented represent-ed at the meeting of the Melville board last Saturday the meeting was postponed post-poned for two weeks. ' Ed Bunker is overhauling and rebuilding re-building his threshing outfit and hu expects to do his work this fall with out being hampered us much with break-downs. Mrs. Nora Iugersoll of American fork is here visiting with her pnren'a, Mr. and Mrs, N. S. Bishop. Mis. Ross McCulIough, who has been very 111 for the past three weeks, Is very much better at this writing. Mr. Wesley Lockyard of New Castle, waa visiting In Delta this week. He says it rained steady for three days there last week. For that Ashing trip get your fishing tackle and sporting goods at B'shop & Wallace's. The editor has five share of Melville Mel-ville water stock for which h'. desires to find a bnyer. - While In Salt Lake the editor had a talk with Prof. Louis Merrill about sending an Irrlgatlou expert down to Delta, to help out the new settlers on their problems. Prof. Merrill said they bad no one available to go permanently, perma-nently, but agreed to have Prof. Hg-enson Hg-enson go down for a week or ten days. This will help, but an expert should be here throughout the season. The editor returned from Salt Lake Wednesday morning, after an absence of a week, which accounts for the small amount of local news in this Issue. Is-sue. The editor has a cart aud a horse but he lacks a harness. If anybody has one to give away or sell cheap tell the editor about It. |
