Show BAKER, NEVADA. The young people of Osrrlson and Baker gave the Pioneers a fine dance and sapper on the '28th of February at the Baker Hall E. Hecketborn waa the oldest pioneer present and ho danced until early morning. An elaborate aupper was served by the young people, everything was free and enough praise can not be given them. Washington's birthday waa celebrated celebrat-ed at Baker and a grand maak ball given In the evening. According to the costumes, Washington must have been present In triplicate but there was only one Martha. The Storm King broke loose at laat and we have had snow for two weeks and plenty of It. Everyone is smiling, for they know they will have plenty of water next year. The untimely death of Rallen Miller, Mil-ler, one of the young men of the valley, val-ley, came as a sad surprise to his many relatives and friends. He was taken to Los Angeles aome months ago for his health, but even that climate cli-mate or doctors' aid did not benefit him. lie died at Los Anegles and his body waa brought home for burial by his father and mother, who were with him. Interment took place at the Miller ranch February 26. The deceased was born and raised hero in the valley, consequently was well known. He will be greatly missed miss-ed by his numerous friends snd relatives rela-tives In the community. He leases to mourn, his father, mother, two sisters and four brothers.
