Wallace, Chronicle Representative. t-'ouilty Assessor Leslie George, of Kanosh, has been in Hurtner the last week looking up assessable property, and from the bunch of papers he was currying around wPh llurttier written on them. It looks as If everybody In llurttier hail obtained a deed to their property. Manager T. ( lark Callister of the Millard County Telephone Co., has been busy Installing a switchboard at the Riding Photo Studio, and also private pri-vate phones. Hurt tier has four private phones Installed, it lid within the next few weeks there will he several more. The new subscribers are W, K. Hunker, Hunk-er, It. J Law, N S lllshop and II. I Wallace. Mrs. Cora Wllloughby has been quite 111 for the past week, but Is up and about again Messrs. .las. A Melville and Geo. A. Snow, of Salt Lake City, were transacting trans-acting business in Hurtner last Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday. Charles II. Mcliain, of Salt Lake City, was in town the last week looking look-ing after some of his interests here. Mr. X. II Vow lea, who Is at the present pres-ent time running the Ik'scrct Roller Mill., gave us a very pleasant rail last Sunday afternoon. Mr. Vow lea was the llrst editor of the Lehl Manner. We were very glad to see such an old friend of the press and to see him trying try-ing to help out our country. He Is doing do-ing all he can to advertise our country and to get the people to go and see the exhibition train from the Stale Agricultural Agri-cultural College that will he In Oasis on February 6th, 1911. We hope he will give us many such carrs, as such men as he Is are the kind we need In this country to keep building It up. L'verybody should visit the exhibition exhibi-tion train. j PWf-rW and hear the many good lectures that will be given. Ladies are invited as well as men, as lectures are given for them In domestic science and cooking. Read all about It In this issue and see some of the photos of some of the professors pro-fessors who will accompany this train. Our box car railroad station was somewhat enlarged this last week, another an-other car being added. The end of the car that was used as a living room was cleared out and Is now used as a waiting wait-ing room. The car Just put in will be used as living room for the agent.
