Show Scipio Sallies A very sad accident occured here Friday, August 11th, when attempting to stop his runaway team Perry Coleman lost his life. Dr. Rees, of Nephi, was in attendance at-tendance but the injured man only lived a few hours. He has been a resident of- Scipio since his marriage to Miss Rilla Stone, about six years ago and was known as a very respectful, hard working and honest man. He was in he prime of life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Besides his widow he is survived by one daughter by his last marriage and a daughter daugh-ter and two sons by a former marriage. All of his children, two brothers and their wives, an uncle, all from Nephi, Provo and Wellington came to attend , the funeral. Services were held in the Ward meeting house on Sunday at 2, p. m., and were very largely attended and the floral tributes many. Much sympathy is felt for the sorrowing sorrow-ing widow and family. Interment Inter-ment was in the city cemetery. Mrs. Anna Brown spent last week with her sister, Mrs. C. Stepensen, of Nephi. - Mrs. Earl Huff, of Meadow, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Brown attended the Yates family reunion re-union in Lehi last week. A large number of our town . people attended conference in Holden Saturday and Sunday. Cecelia Stephensen, of Nephi, is visiting relatives here. |
