Show JURY ACQUITS MRS. MOHR. Two Negroes Whom She was Accused of Hiring to Kill Her Husband are Conv'ict-sd. Providence, R. I. Mrs. Elizabeth T. Mohr was acquitted Saturday by a jury in the superior court of a charge of having instigated the murder of her husband. Dr. C. Franklin Mohr. C. Victor Brown and Henry H. Spellman, negroes, who were accused of the actual ac-tual killing, were found guilty. Mrs. Mohr swooned while the foreman fore-man was announcing the verdicts. The other charge against Mrs. Mohr and the two negroes is that they committed com-mitted an assault on Miss Emily Burger Bur-ger with intent to kill. Miss Burger was shot while riding with Dr. Mohr on the night lie was attacked. Brown and Spellman are accused of actually firing the shots at Miss Burger, while Mrs. Mohr is charged with being an . accessory before the fact of the crime. It is not known when, if ever, Mrs Mohr will be tried on the othei charges. |
