C. T. U. people would de- j vote themselves to securing by their efforts better sanitary and moral conditions, con-ditions, instead of devoting all their energies to reforms which must be broight about by evolution rather than revolution. 2 I am going to Install curfew orforrement In this town so that all children shall be off the streets at eight o'clock. I do not believe the street Is sny place for either male or femsle children after that hour, and Nmie training will not Injure any of them. 3. The suburbs of this city are full if rank weeds and there Is no con- terted effort to beautify or clean up. I shall endeavor to Install a town tearing campaign. Interesting the children as well as the adu-ts. A town ought to be cleaned In the spring; Just the same as a house. 4. I shall oppose tbe voting ol bonds for a proposed new city Jail The present Jail building will b arge enough for all needs under my administration. Wa can use U money for a more worthy purpoe. |
