Show Holden Happenings The stork left a baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Stevens Oct. 31st. . Mrs. Sarah Johnson is in Delta with her son Ben, who has been very ill with pneumonia and a complication of nervous and stomach troubles. A party and dance was given last week in honor of Mrs. M. M. Badger, retiring president of the Y. L. M. I. A. She has held that position for thirty-one years and has done a noble work. A beautiful watch was presented to her by the Ass'n as a token of appreciation and remembrance. remem-brance. Mrs. Ellen Kenney was chosen by the mutual girls to fill Sister Badger's place, and we are sure she will ably fill it. Cattle buyers are here continually con-tinually buying up the cattle and they report that the Holden cattle cat-tle are as good as can be found. Mrs. Anna F. Wasden was here last week visiting her daughter, Mrs. Dyches. Sidney Teeples had the misfortune mis-fortune of having his horse fall on his foot a few days ago. Fie has been compelled to walk with crutches, but is able to do without with-out them now Miss Bertha Stevens reports having a very pleasant time while in California. A number of our town people are attending conference in Scipio. The much needed rain has been falling yesterday and today ; the farmers are rejoicing over the same and the mountains are covered with snow. Saturday night a crowd of young people met at Nancy Badger's home and had a chicken chick-en roast. A pleasant time was had by all. Nancy is an ex-I ex-I cellent hostess. I . .... |
