Show ACADEMY NOTES. (Clark Allred and Eda Cropper, reporters.) re-porters.) School work was resumed .Monday, after a recess of two weeks. We ar) glad to see all the old students back again and also quite a number of now students. On Friday. December 22, a basket ball game was played between the Nephl High school and the Millard Slake academy In the M. S. A. gymnasium, gym-nasium, resulting in a victory for the Academy team. When time was called the score stood 12 to 47. The Nophl boys are clean pi lyers and we extend a hearty Invitation to Coach Allied and his team to visit us again. Our professor of mathematics, Mr. Joseph Grue, Is wearing a very broad sime these days, the cause being the arrival of a new Miss Grue. at his home on January 3rd. Monday, Die Mth, marks the beK!n ning of the second semester's work. New classes will be organized In botany, bot-any, freehand and mechanical drawing draw-ing and drafting. The Brass Hand Is now fully organ Ued. and has been doing good work for mime time. New music Is expected expect-ed this week, and Professor Stott Is making preparations to have the bsnl furnish music at all of otw basket ball games. Mr. George A. Cole, of Salt Uke City, visited school on Monday and addressed the Student Body for a short time. |
