OCR Text	Show CHRISTIAN CHINESE TORTURED. Eyes of Converts Put Out and Then the Victims Are Beheaded by Imperial Troops. Pekln. A letter from a missionary at Hwanghsien. near Chi Fu. received Jiere Tuesday, states that the Imperial Imper-ial troops put out the eyes of forty Christian converts and then beheaded them, saying they were naturally rebels. Heads still hang warningly on tripods here and there in the Streets of I'ekin. although some of the boilies have been moved and burled. The dally march's of detachments of troops from the legations through the streets of the capital are having some effect, but the storekeepers are still conducting their business rare-fully rare-fully through small windows. Tho farmers from surrounding districts are not britifjng in much produce and consequently prices are rising.
