Show ------ Scipio Sallies Andrace Peterson, a native of Denmark, but for more than fifty years a resident of Scipio, died at his home here of pneumonia, pneu-monia, after a fevvdays illness. His death came as a shock to the entire community, whore he was held in high esteem by all. He was 01 years of age and leaves a widow, a son Noble, and a daughter, Mrs. Clark Callister, of Fillmore. Funeral services were held atone o'clock Monday, at the Ward meeting house. Speakers were Thos. Callister, Pres. Thompson, Pres. Brunson, Dean Peterson and Bishop Thompson. All testified the strong character and honesty of the deceased. For the past sixteen years Mr. Peterson has been an active partner in the mercantile firm of Thompson and Peterson. Floral tributes were many ami beautiful. Interment In-terment was in the City cemetery. ceme-tery. Noble, who attends Stanford Stan-ford University, came home to attend his father's funeral. Out of town visitors attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Callister, Lynn, Pres. JInmsun and Dan Melville, Fillmore Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ivie, lling'ham, Dean and Vivian Peterson, Del-ti. Del-ti. Another sad dealh occured Saturday evening When Mrs. Kills Thompson, wife of James Chapman, died at her home here of heart disease, after a lingering linger-ing illness. Funeral services W'H be announced later. |
