Show NEWS OF OUR NEIGHBORS Gathered bj the Editor b His Weekly Rounds OASIS. Winter Is here In earnest. We are having very cold snowy, weather. Dr. Christy was here last week doing do-ing a good business In his line. Friday evening Mrs. Florence Ellison Elli-son (our primary teacher) is going to give a Christmas entertainment In the meeting house. Last week some transient footpads broke Into 1'eter Jensen's house. It Is about half way between Oasis and Deseret. They took two suits of clothes, some shirts, a couple of pairs of blankets and a quilt or two. Sheriff Hlack was soon on their trail and caught them at Clear Lako, 15 miles from here. He took them to Deseret for trial. A bouncing baby girl arrived at the home of William Ilennett, also Peter Skeenes. All concerned are doing nicely. Master Paul Hawley is able to be around on crutches at this writing. Attorney King, also Vern Bartholomew, Bartholo-mew, of Fillmore were seen on our streets a few days. The friends of Henry McCullough sincerely sympathize with the bereaved family In their deep and sudden loss. The Oasis Sunday school will give a Christmas tree on Monday evening, also a short programme with a dance to complete the evening. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Church are very sick with pneumonia at this writing and It Is feared the old gentleman Is In a very serious condition. Alfred Stansworth has Just returned home from Dixie, where he has been ull summer working. |
