Joseph Calllster and wife of llurtner are spending a few daya visiting relatives rela-tives and friends. Walter Johnson and family were over from Leamington to visit Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hoper. Saturday was a buay day. There -was some excitement going on all day. I : At 10 o'clock the Bast side of town played the West Side a game of basket ball for an oyster supper. There was No doubt one of the best dances ever held In Oak City was held In our local Gym last Thursday night. It was the glrl'B annual turn to show the boys a good time, afid without a doubt they did It. Every boy got all the dancing tie could stand. Some of tho girls also set the boys an example by taking them over to supper. It was a dark Bight and their example failed, for they - ' had to be taken home Instead of finishing finish-ing their good work and take the boys home. a large crowd present and the game was hardly contested on both sides. The West won by a score of 29 to 32. LeRoy Walker was the star for the West, making 19 points. Albert Chris-tenson Chris-tenson for the Fast made a couple of good throws. "" Saturday afternoon the Local Dramatic Dra-matic Club played "Hazel Klrke" before be-fore a large audience. It was repeated again In the evening before a crowded house. It went off fine and everybody took their part well. During the play many a tear was shed, while the amusing parts drew- many a laugh. The actors were as follows: .
